About Me

Hi, I’m Teddy! I’m a therapy dog in training at Base Behavioral Health, which means I’m still learning the job. So far I’ve mastered sitting, looking extremely huggable, and knowing exactly when someone needs a furry visitor. I’m still working on not getting overly excited when people want to meet me.

My Approach

I believe everyone deserves to feel safe, welcome, and a little less alone. Research shows that spending time with a calm dog can ease stress and help people feel more at ease, and I take that responsibility very seriously (between naps). I specialize in quiet company, gentle head-on-knee support, and making the waiting room feel a little more like home.

My Training

I’m working toward my therapy dog certification with my handler, Ashley Bauer. That means practicing calm greetings, staying relaxed in new situations, and remembering that not every lap is an invitation. Every day is a learning day, and every day has treats.

When You Might See Me

I’m usually in the office Monday through Friday. Any client is welcome to request a visit from me, so just let our team know! And if dogs aren’t your thing, whether because of allergies, fear, or simple preference, that’s completely okay. Just tell our team and I’ll happily hang out somewhere else. No hard feelings, I promise.
