Duties and Responsibilities as a Counselor Include
-
Provide in-person and/or virtual therapy to clients, including diagnosis of mental health and/or substance use disorders and development of individualized treatment plans.

Conduct initial client intakes and assess needs to create treatment plans.

Support clients in achieving personal goals by providing appropriate tools and resources.
-
Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.

Collaborate with medical providers, social services, and community programs to ensure comprehensive care.

Maintain active licensure and liability insurance, complete continuing education, and stay current with best practices.

Complete documentation and case management tasks within 24 hours of client sessions.
Experience Requirements
-
Minimum of 2 years in counseling, social work, or a related mental health/addiction treatment field preferred.

Experience working with children, adolescents, families, or couples preferred.

Active Oregon licensure or associate status required.
