About Me
Hi, I’m Elena! I’m a Professional Counselor Associate and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC I). I’m passionate about getting to know the person you are today and supporting you through your journey, along with life’s challenges and transitions.
Although I specialize in working with adults who are open to examining their substance use, I work with people from a wide variety of backgrounds. I have experience supporting clients navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, complex trauma, life transitions, relationship issues, and grief and loss. My style is warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental, and I strive to create a space where you feel safe sharing your full self and your experiences.
How I Work
I use a relational, trauma-informed, and person-centered approach to build an authentic therapeutic relationship grounded in empathy, collaboration, and respect. Together, we’ll shape therapy around what matters most to you, whether that’s understanding your patterns, building new coping skills, or simply having a steady place to land.
Clinical Orientation
My approach is grounded in Person-Centered Therapy, Attachment Theory, and Relational-Cultural Theory, and I often incorporate tools from:
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Mindfulness-Based Interventions
Motivational Interviewing
Narrative Therapy
Every client is different, and I adapt my work to best meet your needs.
Who I Work With
I typically work with ages 14 and up, and I welcome clients of all identities and backgrounds. I offer both individual and couples counseling.
Sessions & Availability
I offer both in-person and virtual sessions for flexibility and comfort. I see clients at our Beaverton office, and my schedule is Sunday through Thursday.
Insurance Made Easy
I accept the following insurance plans:
Kaiser Permanente
Aetna
Moda Health Plan
Providence Health Plan
Blue Cross Blue Shield
Self-pay is also welcome.
A Bit About Me
When I’m not in session, I enjoy playing tennis, hiking, watching movies on the couch with my dog, and spending time with family and friends. I believe the best growth happens when we feel safe enough to be ourselves, and I’d be glad to help create that space with you.
