About Me
Hi! I’m Gayle, a Professional Counseling Associate, who believes that every person has the ability to grow, heal, and reconnect with their most authentic self. As a therapist, I strive to create a space that feels safe, grounded, and empowering—where you don’t have to perform, shrink, or explain away who you are. I view therapy as a collaborative process rooted in mutual respect and curiosity. My hope is that our work together helps you feel more seen, more aligned with your values, and more equipped to move through life on your own terms.
How I Work
My approach is warm, honest, and relational. I take the time to understand not just what brings you into therapy, but how you’ve been surviving and making sense of the world up until now. I tailor each session to your needs—sometimes that means helping you develop new tools and insights; other times it means just holding space for things that feel hard to name. I work at your pace, checking in regularly to make sure you feel supported, respected, and heard.
Clinical Orientation
I use an integrative approach grounded in evidence-based practices, including:
Person-Centered Therapy
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Internal Family Systems (IFS)/Parts Work
Motivational Interviewing (MI)
My clinical lens is holistic—I consider how emotional, mental, physical, cultural, and spiritual dimensions intersect each person’s life. I approach this work with cultural humility, honoring the role identity, lived experience, and systemic influences that play in shaping mental health and healing.
Who I Work With
I work with teens (13+), young adults, and adults of all identities navigating a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, identity exploration, relationship challenges, and substance use. I have extensive experience supporting adolescents in residential treatment settings and am especially attuned to the complexities of co-occurring disorders. I also hold space for those processing cultural identity, intergenerational trauma, or the experience of living between worlds.
I currently offer individual therapy only.

A Bit About Me
I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Portland and earned my Master’s degree in Applied Clinical Psychology from Pacific University. I was raised on an island, and that part of me shows up in my work—grounded, community-oriented, and always listening for the currents beneath the surface. Outside of therapy, I recharge by spending time in nature—whether it’s hiking a favorite trail or going for a long run to clear my head. I love getting creative in the kitchen, watching comfort shows that I’ve seen a hundred times, and slowing down with the people (and pup) I love most. My dog, Loki, keeps life playful and reminds me daily to stay present and curious.
