About Me
Hi, I’m Ferrah—a Marriage and Family Therapist Associate who is deeply passionate about walking alongside people during meaningful, and sometimes messy, chapters of life. Whether you're navigating change, healing from past wounds, or simply feeling stuck, I believe therapy can be a space where you feel truly seen, supported, and empowered to grow.
I work with teens (12+), young adults, and adults, and have experience supporting clients dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, life transitions, low self-worth, grief, and trauma. My style is open, honest, curious, and collaborative—I aim to create a space that feels safe, affirming, and grounded in genuine human connection.
How I Work
I believe that you are the expert of your own experience. I want to create a space where you feel safe, cared for, respected, and welcomed to explore deeper layers of your unique experience. My approach is strongly influenced by:
Emotionally Focused Attachment Therapy
Somatic Therapy and Polyvagal Theory
Narrative Therapy
Art Therapy
Play Therapy
Bowenian Therapy
Psychodynamic Therapy
Additionally, my approach centers on a multicultural and social justice orientation—meaning our conversations will naturally include your cultural identities and social locations, as well as the broader contexts of your lived experience.
My work is also grounded in the Seeking Safety model, an evidence-based approach to treating trauma and addiction that emphasizes present-focused coping skills and building safety as the foundation for healing. I have experience working with children and parents in strained relationships, as well as children of immigrant parents, helping them navigate intergenerational dynamics, identity formation, and cultural expectations.
I do not practice from a religious or spiritual framework; I work with individuals who have experienced religious trauma. However, I welcome clients of all beliefs and backgrounds.
Clinical Orientation
I approach therapy from a person-centered perspective, informed by attachment and somatic theories. I believe that cultivating a sense of safety in every relationship, including the therapeutic relationship, is essential for meaningful growth and lasting change.
Who I Work With
I currently work with individuals ages 12 and up and welcome people of all identities, backgrounds, and lived experiences. I specialize in couples’ therapy.
