About Me

Hello! My name is Tezza and I am a Professional Counselor Associate and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC). I view life and therapy through a lens of coherence; things make sense if we zoom out a little bit and stay curious.

I work with older teens and adults, and have experience supporting clients dealing with trauma, addiction, relationship struggles, life or identity transitions and grief. My style is connected, warm, active as a listener, and validating to the vast complexities of our internal experience. I aim to cultivate a space where no topic or idea feels off-limits.

How I Work

I seek to understand the roots and origins of patterns rather than intervene against them. I am also an EMDR therapist and believe in the mind and body’s ability to heal itself with the right tools and circumstances. Additionally, I view things from a trauma-informed, systemic, culturally competent, anti-racist and LGBTQIA+ affirming lens. I am interested in helping you to validate what might be a reasonable reaction to an unreasonable system.
