Philosophy and Approach

I believe that therapy involves combining multiple systems and environments to create who we are today. I see the people I work with through a trauma-informed lens and take their person-in-environment perspective to strengthen and encourage their personal growth. I aim to provide a safe space with individualized approaches to tailor to client needs. I center a lot of my work using evidence-based interventions such as Motivational Interviewing (MI), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Systems Theory. I hope to bring my authentic self into sessions as well as allow others to explore their authentic and powerful sense of being by drawing connections through emotions, behaviors, thoughts, and actions.

Education and Experience

I received my Bachelor of Science in Sociology and Anthropology from the University of Oregon. I earned my Master's Degree in Social Work from Pacific University with an emphasis on Generalist Practice. I am also a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor III (CADCIII) and a Licensed Clinical Social Work (LCSW) in the State of Oregon. My experience includes working in secure adolescent in-patient settings in crisis intervention and suicide prevention, as well as with community members from low-income backgrounds and other outpatient settings. I have a background working with all ages and specialize in working with youth, adolescents, and young adults with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders in individual, family, and group counseling settings.
