Philosophy and Approach
I believe that the overall well-being of a person involves many factors, including physical, mental, emotional, and social health. I believe that counseling should be holistic and take the entire person into account because counseling cannot happen in a vacuum. I strive to support people by providing a safe place for individuals to process and better understand their lived experiences. I seek to encourage individuals as they develop tools and strategies to help them approach current and future challenges with flexibility, strength, and self-compassion. While many of my interventions may vary depending on the individual’s presentation, I often use person-centered, cognitive-behavioral, and acceptance and commitment centered approaches.
Education and Experience
I received my Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from George Fox University. I am currently pursuing a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (PsyD). I am a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) in the state of Oregon. I have experience in working with individuals across the lifespan. My experience includes offering therapy, neuropsychological assessments, and suicide risk assessments in the university environment, primary care medical clinics, and crisis settings.
